  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please, share your story.

My story of success:
I was born in Moscow, Russia in 1976. My father was very abusive, and my mother was always in deep depression. I’ve spend my childhood and youth without hope. We were very poor and I often wondered why no one wants to help us. This explains why I conduct relief work here in Russia among orphans and street children. I don’t want these children to grow up without love and care like I did. I’m grateful that I learned how to read and write, because of that I was able to learn English on my own, and found a pan pall in the US. This woman came here to visit me in Russia.

At the age of 16 I had asked her to help me to begin a modeling career in the US and she has agreed. I was working as model for one and a half years and I was very disappointed. Many of the models were on drugs and there was much jealousy and hatred around me. I became depressed; because I didn’t want to be a model anymore, but I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life.

A friend at school has invited me to church, where I accepted Jesus as my savior. God has really changed me! I became a very happy person. I went to an excellent church: I became involved in praise and worship team, evangelistic team and children’s ministry. I also began attending the University of Washington and working at our church’s school part time. The Lord has prepared for missionary work here in Moscow. I graduated from the UW in International Studies and worked as a Medical Interpreter.

In 2000 I came to Moscow as a missionary. I really enjoy taking care of the broken and wounded. I’m a leader of praise and worship. I pray for people. God has showed to me my calling. I feel really happy. I enjoy gathering clothes for those who have none and sharing the love of Jesus with them. Do you know Jesus today? Please, write to me if you want to know more about Him. He has never failed me. He has made me glad! I hope you try Him today. Please, share your story.

Excellent!

I remember how excited I was when the Iron Curtain fell. I had read often about Bible smugglers and the persecuted, underground Church.

It is very good to serve the poor. I am very glad to see God has given you such wisdom.

Often, when people are blessed with good looks, they squander their life away going after money or fame.

We are made for power and glory, we are made to serve the Lord.

It is good to see you are doing this.

Thank you for your kind words.

No thanks is need: it is an objective remark.

I would strongly suggest looking at some works by Teresa of Avila, btw, as well as Francis of Avila. You are likely Orthodox? I am Protestant, however the Philokalia of the Orthodox Church is most excellent.

Not that you may have time left for such activity, it is just these works can help remind you of just how needed such work is, how godly, how right.

I received great blessings from the Lord for giving up my looks, intelligence, wealth, to follow Him. I took the poor into my own home. I received very great spiritual rewards for these things.

I would not trade places with anyone on the planet. Who has ever existed.

The Lord has formed my heart and given me the dreams of my heart, and He has given me the fulfillment of those dreams. Such greater joy for mortals I could not imagine.

Love is above all else.

When you help the poor you know it is from God, and so do they, so this is the pure message to all: there is a God.

We should all speak and do the message, the testimony, so all will know forever: there is a God.

Actually, I considered that, otherwise would not have even asked... as Orthodox is very rarely found over here and that is where you became a Christian.

The Orthodox were the first Protestants, when they broke away from Rome. Then the Protestants did.

It is all Christian to me.
