Tomorrow I'm going off to university. Please would you pray that I will be kept safe, that I may be strengthened through my lows and that God will guide me all the time, according to His will. But most importantly that I don't fade away from Him.

I would greatly appreciate this as, quite frankly, I am terrified!

and for you! especially for safety, strength and closeness to the Lord.
It's a terrifying time indeed (so long ago for me it's difficult to remember..) but most universities are blessed by various Christian Fellowships and I'm sure you will see this at "Freshers' week" (or whatever it's called where you go)
That can help make friends and find supportive people who are in the same boat as you, walking with the Lord during your time there!

I made wonderful wonderful (did I say "wonderful" yet ) friends when I attended college. They are still my friends to this day. They were great Christians. I got involved in Campus Crusade For Christ, the Baptist Student Union and Intervarsity when I went to college. I also found a good church. Because of these things, I grew in the Lord. I pray the same for you.
Can't underestimate the great importance of staying in a fellowship of believers.

Be with aLx as he goes off to college. Keep him safe and guide him as he pursues his studies. Bring him ever closer to You and give him a thirst for thy Holy WORD. Let him be used by You to reach others and let him be a blessing unto many. May many bless him in turn.
