I really need prayer. I've had migraines since I was 8 years old and I have one now. It's 4 am and I can't sleep because my head is throbbing. Please pray that God takes my migraines and headaches away. Thanks

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Father, In Jesus name we pray that these migraines be taken away. Lord You are our Great Physician. Father, we ask for divine, miraculous healing of these headaches. Lord if there be something blocking this healing let it be shown to scholls now. Lord we come to You to break down the walls that keep us from Your healing process. We pray for No pain, No headaches and give ALL the glory to You

Sara, I feel for you, hon! 
I am a migraine sufferer as well. Are you taking anything for them? I had to go through several medications before I found one that gave me any relief. And then, it seems the best thing is the meds, an ice pack, a dark room and a couple hours of sleep.
Dear Lord, Please take the pain of the migraine away from Sara. Help to heal her headache so that she can rest and sleep well. Help to heal her of this pain either divinely through your hands or you working through the hands of a doctor. Help her Lord, when she does have a headache to remain calm and find what helps relieve them for her. I just pray that you will give her comfort and peace and ultimately no more headaches. In Jesus precious name, Amen!

Lord, please help sr. scholls find the cause of her migraines and help her avoid the stimulus for the rest of her life. Amen.
Sr scholls, did you know that most migraines are caused by environmental or chemical stimulus that you encounter? My sister-in-law was getting them from playing the trumpet, and my other sister-in-law was getting them from drinking cola. Her little boy was getting them from drinking milk, and my sister was getting them from the flickering of the overhead floresent lights in her office.
Ask your doctor to help you find the stimulus of your headaches.

Lifting you up in prayer...I too am a migraine sufferer and can't take imitrex, sumitriptan or any of the other medications that they like to give for migraines. The best otc med that i have found is excedrin migraine - doesn't take it away for me, but takes a little of the edge off so that I can function somewhat - better than nothing! Also, depending on whether you tolerate heat or cold better, you may want to try a "rice bag" (take an old dish towel or hand towel, sew up 3 sides, fill with rice, and sew up the remaining side) - put it in the microwave and get it as hot as you can stand it, and then put it on your head. Feels good, but you smell like rice! Haha! Or the "cold" method - get a bag of beans (lima beans work great!) and label them as the headache beans, put them in the freezer and use those beans on your head when you get the headaches. The beans move to conform to the shape of your head and there's something about it that helps! A doctor friend told me that once. We have beans in the freezer that gets used for quite a bit - headaches, sprains, bad knees...etc! Feel free to PM me...

Thanks everybody. I stayed home from school today and got some sleep, so it's gone now. I try to stay calm so it won't throb but it doesn't work very well. Usually I get them in my temples, but this one was the back of my head so there was no method to ease the pain. I usually rub my temples and it calms me enough to where I can fall asleep.
Umm, I think I know the stimulus of my migraines. I was in a pretty bad bike accident when I was 8, and that's when they started. I was riding down a mine shaft and flipped over my bike. I just recently found out that I had been knocked unconscious for about an hour. I woke up and had the worst headache I've ever had. I've gone to the doctors about it, tried Immitrex and that didn't work. I should probably get an MRI scan to see why I have them though. Thanks for the tips, I'll have to try them sometime. Hopefully not soon though
