Please pray

I recently moved back home after college. I have been home for about 4 1/2 months. I can't find any job full-time or part-time. My degree is in youth ministry. Please pray for my relationship with my stepdad. He isn't a Christian and our relationship isn't the best. Also, I don't have any close friends around here. These past few months have been trying, but God has been teaching me alot. I could use some encouragement. Thanks.

Hi Will,

These times of struggles are not easy to go through - I guess that's stating the obvious. You are holding onto the teaching that God has given us - that He will use all things to the good purpose of those who love Him. (see Romans 8v28) This is an important teaching in these times and will sustain you if you hold onto it.

You know, we share a favourite Psalm: 139. The Lord has searched you and knows you. Rest in His plan for Your life, for it will be great. It's the hardest thing to do in thew world - but make the most of your time with few relationships and no work and focus on God. (If you read my journal, you'll see that I'm failing at this at the moment - so I'm not preaching without experience )

I pray for Will. That his relationship with his step-dad be improved and that there be mutual understanding between them. I pray that Will finds a job that suits him but that he doesn't feel pressurised to get work. I pray that Will's stepdad begins to know Your love, and I pray that Will is able to get into a deeper, stronger relationship with You which will sustain him when he does begin work. I pray for Will's relationships with his friends Lord. I pray that You will put the right people in his path at the right times and that he will begin to make friendships which will blossom into loving relationships in which he can trust the other people and give and receive support. I pray that Will will find friendship here on CF too.

Thank You Lord that Your nature is always to have mercy, and that you are a God who loves us through and through. Thank you Lord so much for Will.
