please pray that i dont have to work on the sabbath

Im haviing a few problems at the moment because although I have average qualifications,I dont really specialise in anything,and i only have experience in cleaning or shop work.The problem is Im a unemployed single mum and its a struggle to make ends meet.I could of taken jobs but I refused because I would of had to work on the sabbath.someone at the jobcentre told me im limiting myself to what work i can do if i dont work sabbath.I know the commandments are to keep the sabbath,but im getting very weary to be honest because im almost 35 havent got a proper job,have a son to provide for on my own as a single parent,with not specialising in anything.I know God says he provide if you keep his commandments but there doesnt seem to be any sign of that happening yet,even though I been faithful to God,please may you all prayer for me,thanks x x x

Although I'm not an advocate for old covenant practices, I have noticed that -- even under the old covenant -- there were provisions for times when an Israelite's ox was in the ditch.

It wasn't my intent in responding to her question to turn this thread into a debate about the law. There are certainly plenty of threads on that subject. I apologize if I derailed this thread; that wasn't my intent. JCMJ . . . My prayers are with you that God will make your path straight.

P.S. The new covenant is about the ministry of the Spirit that brings life and not the ministry of letters engraved on stones that bring death.
