  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I really hate to ask for prayer when I know God has been so good to me and there are others that have far greater needs than I however I really need prayer this morning. I am going to the dentist to have a tooth cut out and I am deathly afraid of dentists to the point of being phobic, but I have put this off until I can't delay it anymore and I have to go. So please pray that God will bind my fear and this process will be as painless as possible so that I don't back out before it is done. Thanks so much and may God shower you with blessings.

Never, never, NEVER hesitate to ask for prayer...no matter how small you think the problem! A member of my family went to her death with the lifetime attitude that she was never "worthy enough" to ask for anything for herself. She lived a harsh, defeated life because of it.

Anyway......Boy, can I relate to you! I have so much terror going to the dentist that I would almost resort to trickery to get out of it. Recently I had to go because I bit into a chocolate-chip cookie that contained a rock. Really! A rock! It shattered a molar. (Never buy a package of cookies named "Chip-a-Riffic"--no pun intended). I whined a lot, made the appointment, and walked into the dentist's office and told him how much fear I had. (Yes, of course I prayed). The dentist was as sweet and gentle as he could be and treated me like a 6-year old...which was nice. Now I have a new tooth and next time I don't think I'll be such a coward. :sorry:

I will indeed pray for you megsmom 1999...and I understand completely.
