Please Pray For Him

I have a friend, who used to be a very strong Christian, but lately he's been having a rough time, and he's turned away from God. He's started to act recklessly, and has been feeling very depressed. He says he can't even pray anymore, because he feels so abandoned by God. He needs God more than ever now, but he feels like he doesn't love him anymore.

Please pray that he will get through this, that he will grow from it, and he will discover just how much God loves him.

Hello Christschick. Sounds like a deep valley. I've been in those at times. Does your friend feel that God doesn't love him or that he (your friend) doesn't love God any longer? Hope your friend knows that you are praying for him. Sometimes depressed souls just need a loving hand to hold onto when the way gets rocky. The best hand is JESUS' of course.

I lift this brother up to you and ask that you surround him with peace and joy and remove the depression that he is feeling. Let him remember the joy he felt the day he gave his life to you. Don't let him forsake his salvation. Restore all that the enemy has stolen from him.

Thanks, he feels like God doesn't love him, because he's let all this stuff happen to him. He knows I'm praying for him, and so are a lot of our other friends, we've tried to be there for him as much as possible, but like you said, the only one that can really help him is Jesus
