  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Please, no!

Ben Zobrist grew up near us, and my son got to work with him at a baseball camp. So, I was sad to see the Rays go down.

But, given the current field of teams, I'll be rooting for the Rangers. I think I would pick Communist Atheists over the Yankees ... oops, hope that doesn't offend.

Rangers and Giants, all I can say is 'bout time. I've been a Rangers fan for as long as I can remember and the very first game I actually got to go to, Kenny Rogers threw a perfect game.

The second game was pure luck, my aunt invited me to go with them because they had an extra ticket. It was the one year anniversary of the perfect game.

So I've got the Will Clark jersey from the night of the perfect game and the linograph/picture and ticket stub from the anniversary game all in a display that I've got to find somewhere to hang it.

Been a fan ever since

This has been a great post-season with some great pitching matchups. Lee v. Pettite, Lincecum v. Halladay, the Halladay no-no, and now we'll get to see Lincecum v. Lee in Gm 1. I don't really have a horse in this race, but I'm enjoying all the great pitching.

*Kicks his remote across the room* I should have watched The Apprentice......Rangers 0-Giants 9?

My son has been studying for midterms, and asked for help. I was a little frustrated that it meant we were missing the game. When I finally managed to flip on the TV, it was 4-0. I just turned it off again. Maybe they'll win a game at home.

Come on guys! At least make it interesting!
