• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

im just worried as the bible says the holy spirit will give us conviction and i dont feel it and i felt him leave when the thought saying the pharises right arrived and it says the unforgivable sin is not caring for sin and i dont care for sinning
So what you're saying is that you want to sin? What kinds of sins do you want to do?

That's another triggering verse for people with OCD. It sounds very much like you could have OCD. Please consider getting the appropriate therapy for it, and learn all you can about it and how to treat it, because it is very treatable and it's not necessary for you to feel miserable all the time. Do you have any good resources to learn about it?

Well, I think it's possible for someone to say they believe in Jesus, but not really want to believe Him or follow Him, right? But that doesn't sound like you. I'll send you links to a couple of good websites about OCD:
OCD & CHRISTIANITY – CHRISTIANITY
https://www.ocdonline.com/
Helping Those Struggling with Scrupulosity, or Religious OCD | Center for Biblical Counseling & Discipleship
Episodes- FearCast Podcast, Q&A for OCD and Anxiety Disorders

And please, keep reaching out for help as you need it. Consider joining the FB group I told you about, get a therapist, ask questions on here (or pm me anytime). It's easy, when we have OCD, to doubt everything, even the fact that we have OCD. (Most people with OCD are afraid to treat their obsessions as OCD, fearing that perhaps it's not OCD after all. So you're not alone there.) But our lives are too special to waste a lot of time worrying and being miserable. Get help - you're worth it! :)

No, I don't think so. That's a super common obsession among people with religious OCD. If I had a day's wages for everyone with OCD who has this obsession, I'd be a very rich woman. :D

I do not believe you have committed the unforgivable sin; but I do sense your thinking is distorted by a brain dysfunction. I recommend you see a Christian psychiatrist to help you think without distortion.
