The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Do you have a diagnosis of OCD? This is likely what we call, in the OCD world, an "intrusive thought." Do you have any sort of help for your OCD?

There's a "Post New Thread" button at the top of the forum, I believe. Can you get a medication change from your doctor, and/or get therapy? Medicine can be helpful, but the most effective thing to help you change in the long term would be getting therapy to learn the mind strategies you need to use to deal with your disorder, or learning about them yourself and practicing applying them.
well stil cant hear god dont feel sincere or sorry for sinning dont feel guilty for sinning im only hoping god will forgive me i still dont understand the bible and im sure when jesus says in criptures that not all who say lord lord will enter heaven im sure im one of them and there a tight pressure pain in the right side of my chest. so im doing pretty normal
That verse is a common trigger for people with religious OCD/scrupulosity. Are you getting therapy for your OCD?
no m unforgvable im just gonna sit here n torment pain and even tho people try to help i easly decieved and i cant tell when people are in error or not so i cant trust anyone i have to feel guilty i have to
I'm not sure why you feel that you "have to" feel guilty, but I can tell you right now that if you have OCD, most of these terrible and guilty feelings are false. So, don't believe that you are something just because you feel that you are. If you find a good therapist (especially one who knows how to treat OCD using CBT/ERP therapy), they might be able to help you a lot. Please consider it. Also, whether or not you get therapy, there is so much that you can learn about how to treat OCD, and that you can practice applying on your own. I can suggest some good resources if you'd like. Do you have trusted people you can talk to - parents, friends, etc. - about the things that are bothering you?
yh my mum i talk to her but im the only christian in my family so she doesnt understand my worries and it says in the bible the holy spirit will convict us of sin but if i dont feel it im unsaved. also i had 2 dreams today one was me saying to todd white i think of a number if the bible page land on it il be a christian if not il not be i thought the number 52 it landed on 57 and after i had a dream of me signing a contract of me selling my soul with satan holding the contract
It sounds like you've been worrying a lot about these things, so much so that you're starting to dream of them. I've been there before, and it's rough! The great thing about OCD, though, is that there IS hope for living victoriously over it. So many people struggle with it - with the same things you're struggling with - but by learning to treat these intrusive thoughts as meaningless, and learning how to deal with the weird stuff our brain sends to us, we can experience freedom over much of its control. Would you consider joining the Facebook group "Christianity and Anxiety Disorders"? I'm a member there, and I think it's a good place for Christians with OCD to find support. You can ask questions there, and learn from other people who have similar struggles. Also, do you have any books/websites to help you learn more about OCD and how to handle it?
im just worried as the bible says the holy spirit will give us conviction and i dont feel it and i felt him leave when the thought saying the pharises right arrived and it says the unforgivable sin is not caring for sin and i dont care for sinning
