  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, brother or sister, consider 1 Corinthians 6 which says that the body is for the Lord and the Lord for the body, the body was not made for fornication, the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Galatians chapter 5 lists the 1º 4 works of the flesh: fornication, adultery, uncleanness, lasciviousness. Matthew 5 says that if you look on a woman to lust after her you have committed adultery in your heart. 2 Corinthians 10 commands to bring every thought, imagination and high thing that rises itself against the knowledge of God into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Masturbation involves THOUGHTS AND IMAGINATIONS. If you don't warm yourself up with them you can't touch. Your body was designed to obey instructions from the mind. If you feed your mind with pornographic images, stories; lust, unrefrained sexual urges, you are in direct disobedience with the Word of God because they act within you as thoughts, imaginations and become strongholds after a period of settlement. The mental stimulation to be able to touch will inevitably lead you to lust after someone you consider sexy, therefore you are committing adultery in your heart with that person. Sexual activity has been reserved for husband and wife only.

Put on the mind of Christ and think. Research the Word and comfirm what I am saying.

Fred.

I believe it is NOT a sin.

However, as some say, it could become associated with sinful thoughts of a person other than your spouse, so beware of that.

Nothing in the Bible leads me to believe that it is a sin, and for many it's a release from sexual and emotional tension.

It can be a useful part of your loving with your spouse, instead of intercourse at times, or as foreplay. If it enhances both of your enjoyment of each other, how could that be wrong?

However, if you find you're doing it alone and often, and prefering it to being with your spouse, you may be starving your relationship, making him/her feel unloved or inadequate.

God bless, Susana
