OK,

So, it's the offseason, and I'm preparing for Track. We've had two pretty tough days, today and yesterday, and I've been out of it. It's been really hard to hit my times and stay with the workout... I kind of feel like I'm just observing, and not really there.... sorry if it doesn't make sense. Also, I don't seem to have much motivation. It's really bothering me because I keep letting myself down and my teammates! Do you think I need a break? Please let me know!

Well, do you feel discouraged because you're not making your times, or do you think maybe you're not making them because you've moved on to other interests? If you absolutely love the sport and you can't imagine life without it, maybe it's just a matter of getting past the plateau that everyone hits. But if you're not really that interested in it anymore and it isn't just because of your times, then maybe there's something else that would interest you more.

i kicked off my training this week after an easy december & then chritmas & all that.
it is more painful than it used to be at the moment and it seems like i have a long road ahead of me, but i know it will be worth it and in a couple of weeks will regain fitness reasonably quick..... and at your age you should be able to regain anything youve lost very quickly ;)

that said, you've got to enjoy it, look back to last season and work out why you're doing it, set soem goals to improve on this year and some intermediate objectives to get you to those goals.
