I'm new here and was wanting to vent a little.
My pastor has admitted to setting up secret email accounts last year to have private conversations w/ me. So we took it the pastor that he is "under" and we had to settle it then...he agreed it was inapporpriate and we gave him the benefit of the doubt and stayed as we didn't want to yank our children out of there. So ever since then things have been distant between all of us.
In Jan. 05 I received some emails that I didn't recognize and deleted them. And then I received 2 emails from the pastor...they were mass emails, nothing secretive at that point. At the end of Jan. 05, I called my pastor's wife for some counsel on an argument between me and my husband had one morning. A few days later I'm getting emails from someone I don't know. They are inviting me to IM w/ them. I ignored them. I got another one and asked who it was, they said, "I hope that doesn't make a difference to you one way or another". I responded w/ a "of course it does...etc". When I asked if they were male or female, they just said that they got my email from a friend. So I wrote them back saying how dare you try and throw a monkey wrench into my marriage...if my marriage wasn't strong, we'd be having problems because of you. Anyway, he started signing as a woman w/ a Ph.D. And then once misspelled the name.
All along, this email address was very similar to my step daughters. So of course my husband's ears perked up! Did some research on the computer and decided to use a password that the pastor had sent me last year...my husband decided to try it and sure enough it was him. It didn't have his real name, but in the address book it the other accounts from last year. Also, my husband checked to see if anyone had tried IM'ing me(I stopped using it after last years episode) and sure enough, he did...this month of Feb. 05. So my husband printed out everthing he found, and because we had a sure case against him...we called a meeting.
He denied everything. Even though everything matched him right down to a T. His wife was devastated, even though she ended up believing him.
I can't believe he's in denial, and the witnesses seemed to believe him. They didn't say much...but since we've had issues before and the evidence points to him, we know it's him.
Early on, in my spirit, I knew it was him. It was his style of writing and everything. But we didn't want to make a move until we had iron clad evidence. I mean we're bringing an accusation against a pastor.
So his wife wants to have his computer audited and then we're taking it to the higher up's! I know that he knows he did it. He tried to blame it on a worm...but that doesn't make sense(worms don't work like that). I also know that the Lord knows and sees all. The truth will prevail and what is in the dark shall be brought out into the light.
This may be confusing as I'm writing in a hurry...while kids are asleep. If anyone has anything edifying to say or has been in my shoes, I'd love to read a response from you...please no IM, as I don't know how to turn that thing off.
Blessings,
