CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If there's one message that you get, I hope it is this: Take advantage of the college so that you will never be in this desperate position again. Acquire the skills you need to help yourself and hopefully your family. Don't lose yourself in the moment. Lose yourself in your future.

Father, take control of this situation and help everyone involved get the things they really need. Give peace to the anxiety-ridden, sobriety to the drunk, sustenance to the poor and a life of increased faith because you will have helped them through it. Lord, whatever is the source of the pain that causes the drunkness, heal it. And the anxiety that the family has had to live with all these years, soothe it permanently by replacing it with unfathomable faith in you. And please make it easier for the mother to comfort the son. Through the authority that Christ gave us to boldly go into the throne room and make our supplications known, Amen.

Praying. Hold tightly to your faith! If things get too overwhelming, find someone you can trust to talk to../church? school counselor...? May God give you patience, comfort, and continued strength. Be strong, you are not alone! Pray, focus on your school work, and be good to yourself!!! PS (try to stay out of Dad's way when he drinks, and pray for him ,too).

Father, I pray you take control of this situation and help everyone involved get the things they really need. Give to this family peace , and help the father to resolve his drunk,and turn to you .Sustenance to the poor and give a life to those whom need you the most. Increased faith in their lives, and love in their hearts. Because you are the only one that can help. Help them through their diffucult times Lord. And Lord, For whatever is the reason of the pain that causes the father's drunkness, heal it, revoke it from this Father in Jesus' Name O Pray. And the anxiety that the family has endured with all these years,remove it permanently by replacing it with your love , through spiritual friends whom uplift the family and whom has the ability through you Father to help them. The love of faith in you, is all that we can count on. And please make it easier for the mother to to get in touch with her son. Through the authority that Christ has given us, to go into prayer. Just to let you know dear one you're not alone in this.
Hang onto your hope in Jesus. He will never leave you or forsake you. He knows what you're going through and will strengthen and uphold you.
I pray for your dad to let go of the drinking and that he finds peace and comfort and all his needs met in Jesus. That you are able to do your studies and find a haven at home to peacefully learn. That you will not feel despair but the love and grace of God in this situation.
Nothing is too hard for Him; He already has a plan and will change things. Keep praying for your dad and posting here.
Get support from your College/Counsellor/Tutors etc they are there to help. Don't let your work suffer due to lack of support - you deserve help.
