The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear Father, please hold Stephanie close to you at this painful time. Comfort her and protect her from these ravaging emotions. Console her and give her hope that healing and better days are coming soon. Give her that mustard seed of faith, to believe in Your power to cleanse and heal her completely - spirit, soul and body - and to restore what has been stolen from her.
You are the faithful one, in whom we have trusted, and your hope is the anchor of our souls. Give our precious sister that hope now, so that this season will be seen as what it is - something that will pass, completely overcome by Your awesome healing power.
Touch her right now physically, to remove this pain and make her whole. Grant her peace, dear Lord, and a restful night so she can regain her strength and a right perspective.
Do it for your precious daughter's, our sister's, wellbeing, dear Father, and for your glory's sake. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray, amen.

I have heard back from MyOldLifeisOver, and she's doing ok. It's just a rough patch at the moment. She probably will post back when she gets a little clearer perspective. Please keep praying for her.

I highly recommend getting professional help, seeing a psychiatrist and a counselor for guidance at this most difficult time for you. I'll be praying.
