Matthew 19:16-29 (with commentary)

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

The Redeemer was testing the man here: these are the 6 Laws of God that deal with all of morality - laws for entities that die. Did this man follow the very basic morality Laws of the Most High God?

The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

He lacks the other four commandments from the ten - the first four which deal with total devotion to the Most High God. Mammon is an ancient beast that has never left, and has always been a real power, for example. You can't regard mammon more than the Most High God, and one should be able to live completely without it - like John the Baptist eating Locust (KOSHER) and honey like an alleged "wild man."

Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

He means what He literally says: the idea is that everyone will have their needs met by regarding their needs, not their wants. We should have no wants, because the Redeemer is our Shepherd. Socialism is the perfect type of governing system for perfect, loving beings with no ego. Capitalism works only through corruption - because the point is to make more capital (not make relationships).

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

This was more than sadness, the young man (note the generation and experience) figured his name, credibility, status, etc. would all fade if he were to sell his possessions and follow Christ throughout the world as they knew it. Where was the insurance? The man was a "morally good" man, but that was no where near enough for eternal life. Physical possessions are the images of the spirit - they represent idols. Idols take away attention from the Most High God, which diminishes our overall relationship with Him. That's 3/4 of the first ten commandments of the Most High God. Many people see working >40/week as a badge of honor (because of society,) but the Most High God demanded we take at least one day away from servile work. If you have to eat, then that is something you talk to your Father about - ask Him what one is supposed to do with no money and an empty belly. He will likely say man does not live on bread alone, but by the word of God before/after He has mercy and provides yet.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Did the redeemer say that it is impossible? No; and even if He did, He explains that He is not saying rich people cannot get into heaven:

When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

If you believe all things are possible with the Most High God, the perhaps a camel can travel through the eye of a needle with ease - even a two-humped camel. However, there is a responsibility on the individual to do work. The young man had to take responsibility for the trajectory of his spirit, and either choose to keep his possessions, or sell them.

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

The reward is in the life after this one; if you don't have faith in the afterlife, you don't believe you will go there (heaven), or if your possessions act as a security for you, then it will be extremely hard to rewire the brain to spiritually see the merit on charity as a fruit of the spirit.

Thanks for the post, some work went into it. This commandment is very relevant "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

So you are also suggesting that many Christians will not make the afterlife?

I don't know what a Christian is today; I hear Christians tell each other they aren't Christian everyday on here, and in the world. Each denomination has its own rules to classify it as the option over the others.

There will be some people sealed, and some people unsealed for the Most High God. Some of them are Christian now, and some of them may not be Christian now. The Word of God Himself said that a lot of people who think they are Christian will not actually make it.


There is a strong delusion that keeps a bunch of so called believers, even, from seeing the Truth. It can't be taught, argued out, or beat down; it is a delusion.
