I can't answer the question. Only you and God know your heart. I can tell you that as long as you draw breath there is hope. The gospel is very simple Jesus died for our sins, according to the scriptures. He was buried and the third day he rose from the grave, according to the scriptures. He died for all of your sins, past, present and future.

As for that verse, I'm not sure how it has happened to you since it doesn't happen til the judgement. Notice something in the verse itself, the people are justifying themselves before the Lord. They are saying we did wonderful works in your name. We cast out demons in your name. Christ says get away from me you workers of iniquity. Why, because it is Christ's work that justifies us. Our own righteousness is as filthy rags, yet it is Christ righteousness that is imputed onto us. HE is our covering.

In Christ

So many verses torment me....

Such as Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

I worry it's too late for me, my heart is broken, I cry a lot. I have a beautiful life from the 11+ years I thought I was saved.

Hi Jan,

Let Gods word speak to your heart:

Psalm 34:18

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 51:17

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

Pray over those verses day by day and ask God to reveal Himself to you through those verses. Remember this:

2 Timothy 2:13

if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.

Confess Romans 10:9-11, shout it from the rooftops; God will not reject you, His word promises that you will be saved.

Jan, the parable of the prodigal son, is typical for most of the young people of the world. They will know the truth and when they are old enough will leave home and make their own way in the world. When they hit the bottom they will return home, and God is there looking down the road for their return. He welcomes them back with open arms, and is glad to see them return. God loves you. You were His before you left, you are still His when you return. Welcome home.
