Please explain the difference between Progressive/Moderate Adventists and the Traditional Adventists.

What are the 28 fundamental beliefs and which are the ones that Adventists don't have to adhere too and why not?

Good question. I really see no reason for the separation. It is as though Adventists are political parties or something. I find myself jumping between both forums to read topics. It's not really a good witness. We should grow together. But I don't come on here much. I did end up finding a normal Adventist forum.

Historic SDA's believe all of SDAism, Ellen white, the IJ, LGT, fallen nature of Christ. pre 1888 teachings of adventism, sinless perfectionsm 1844
Conservative : post 1888 teaching. they are more flexable on LGT
Evanglicals: post 1958 adventims, Desmond Ford view of daniel 8:14, Grace orientation, de emphisis on EGW, need to be born again.

The founders were all, "Progressive". The, "Traditional" today reject any new light. The SDA leaders today have lost their compass on the abortion issue!

We don't need to, "Grow together", we need to grow to Christ!
