I paint in arcylics, oils(sometimes), pastels, and other implements. I have done some nice things.

I won't use the abbrev. again because for some reason that happens, but I edited to let you know that I am shocked it says that and didn't meaningfully do anything vulgar or tasteless .. especially to a post like this. Sorry this happened people.
I do graphics too. So, I do these things and my Aunt is an Artist. So, I am going to really tell you what I think here.
I think this person has to get to work, because they are gifted. That isn't something just anyone can do. They have a true ability, eye for placement, contrast, they can do the techniques perfectly and are inspired. All this adds up to a Freda Kahlo, Michaelangelo, and Monet. They all had passion and were inspired and made their own kind of art from what they pull from inside themselves and brought out to canvas.
Your friend is as talented in their own right. They need to believe in themselves and nuture they gift and let it soar, and great things will come, that piece you showed us? It should be in a Gallery, it is that good. I am not trying to fill your head, or theirs. I would have just been kind in a few nice words, but I would not have gone on in detail like this, had I truly not had some real sense this person was something special.
