Please be your own best advocate

Quickly I must let my new friends know that during these unprecedented times of Covid, we must learn to be our own best advocates and stand up for our rights, thoughts and beliefs, even when it is a respected and well learned member of society going against what ourGour given intuition is telling us. I am in no way telling anyone to ever go against a doctor's orders, but please do not blindly follow any man( especially when they have taken on a God like facade), unwilling to listen to a suggestion made by a fellow human being, wether it be by a person of the same social standing or that of another. Here is my quick story. A few months back, I was having an extremely difficult time with my depression and my dr. tryed to shake up my meds hoping to make a difference. I followed the instructions and soon started feeling increasingly worse to the point of experiencing terrible side effects leading to suicidal ideation. I tryed and tryed to have the individual return a call but to no avail. I had never experienced anything like this in my life and having a background in psychology myself, had a few ideas to what the problem could be. Unfortunately, when the dr. called he refused to listen to me and belittled my attempt at making a suggestion and made me promise I would double the current medication in question. I'm sorry for lying to the man but did not intend to take his advice. It was that God given intuition again. To make a long story short, I was suffering from Seratonin Syndrome, which can be very deadly and which two experts missed. Thank you God for giving me the strength to go with the intuition you gave me and also the strength to do what I knew was right. I also spoke with my therapist at Faithful Counselling, who was so happy to hear that my past two months of suffering would no longer continue to the extent it had because we now had an answer. Please my friends, if you think something is wrong, dr.s are only human but all too often when we see someone in the white coat, we fail to see them as such.

Yes tell your doctors the truth and use your intuition if your not being helped.

I have to agree with you on being very careful about listening to man. I do my best to listen to the Holy Spirit, not always successful, myself gets in the way a lot. But I am getting better at it with Gods help.
