Playtex drop-ins

Ok, so I am using these bottles and have went to the bigger size and was wondering how in the heck do you get ALL the air out of the thing? My hand won't quiet fit in the bottle all the way to push the air out. I just looked online & found this but haven't found where to buy it because I would stock up. http://www.playtexbaby.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?id=1010

Has anyone seen these bottles anywhere?

I don't put my hand all the way in them...I always just pushed on the bottom until all the air was pushed out of the bottle and the bubbles stopped coming. Never had a problem.

Thats what I did also, you can also buy little flat discs to fit in the bottom, and the you use it to push up on the bag. Not sure what they are called, but you can probably find it at walmart

If you don't push all the way to the top there is still air. And as gassy as she is I don't want any extera air for sure. I'm gonna go to Target & Wally world and see if they have those ones I listed. I saw online you can get a bottle burper but not sure where as far as stores.

squish it to the side, or stick a block up the back of the bottle, or try to find the little disk looking thing I was telling you about. But usually if you push against the side of the bottle all the air should also come out

Yeah I do that & I've been using unique things to get the air out one being a fork (the non-eating end of course)!

One mroe question: I thought I was feeding her the right amount but am not sure if I am by what the bottle says. It has 2 different measurments. One says playtex expandable 10 0z & one says just Playtex drop in 8 oz. I've been using the expandable measurement but the liners are only 8 oz? Which am I to use?

You don't need to push the air out, it floats at the top and baby does not suck it. The reason the liners work better than the other sort of bottle is because as baby sucks, the liner shrinks in.

I thought that too until my friend showed me how much air is in the liner if you don't push it out.

Yes there is air floating at the top but I don't see the big deal so long as baby stops sucking when they get to the air.

Um Use The Lines Measurment Because That Is Really The Amount That You Have, If You Go By The Other Than The Forumula Might Be Too Strong Or Too Weak Depending. Yes I Would Recamend Pushing The Air Out, Because My Dd Never Quit Sucking Even Though There Was No Milk Left.

I used playtex drop-ins when my boys were babes. i liked them a lot.
I always mixed the formula in a shaker bottle (it has the measurements right on the side). then i would pour it into the bottles. I always made the days' bottles ahead of time and put them in the fridge. I heated them up under hot water when needed. I filled the bottle to capacity, so I never worried about any air.

The expandables 'expand' to 10 oz max even if the bottle's shell is only 8 oz~ The liners are the same size but the volume they hold is different. You go by whatever measurement fits the liners you have. If you have the expandable liners, you go by the expandable's markings on the bottle, not the regular drop-in's mark.

I was using these from before they began making the expandables on into when they started doing them instead so I went through the same moment of "huh?". Something else, if you're using the expandable liners, you may be having more air in the bag as a result than usual. Target had a store brand liner that worked just as well that wasn't expandable.

Well no, they don't.... air or no air.... drop ins or no drop ins.... I just take the bottle out... though sometimes they don't finish, other times I watch carefully and take it out just before it is all gone.

Yeah I bought the Target brand as well works jsut fine.
