  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Plastic Canvas?

 I've made a few plastic canvas projects so far, but haven't looked at PC web sites much yet.

Do you know of any techniques to keep the back of the work looking neater? The fronts of my projects look fine, but the backs always look like a big, bulky mess!

I consider it fairly easy. It might depend on what kind of project you are doing. Making a bookmark or simplie tissue box cover might be fairly easy, while making a Bible cover or mantle piece is a little more advanced. I wouldn't say necessarily harder, just more involved. And the more experience you have, the easier it gets.

It is very fun, and you can make all sorts of goodies! :)

To the messy back...when you are finishing a length of thread or yarn, run it under the past 3 or 4 stitches you have just made ON THE BACK side, then clip it off close. That should help eliminate the bulk. Do the same thing when you are starting a length.
