CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh I am into it big time. I have tons of patterns and the canvas. I have made so many things,tissue boxes, pictures, a whole village, baby sampler and just tons of stuff. I started it because someone gave me a ton of yarn and wondered what I would ever do with it. I taught myself to knit and crochet and still had tons but most of it was little bits and pieces. Went to a garage sale and bought my first pattern book and that was it. Right now I'm back into knitting but can feel the pull of the canvas. Plus family is having a baby and need to make a sampler and get it framed. I usually have it all done and add the numbers after the baby's born. If you need any help give a yell or look on the net. Have fun, have you just started?

Sorry for not replying to this until now. I have not been online in about a week. 
I've been doing plastic canvas for several years now. I love it. I'm working on coasters right now. Congratulations on the new baby.

I worked on plastic canvas stuff years ago, haven't done much lately though. Never really got too far into it either so I probably wouldn't be much of an idea resource or anything

I've also made a huge dollhouse, and a Christmas village for my sister, with many Christmas ornaments. It's so much fun, easy but sometimes challenging. Boy I guess I need my plastic canvas fix.Sorry for not replying to this until now. I have not been online in about a week.

I actually have a TON of plastic canvas pieces that were precut. Someone was selling them at a yard sale. I got them real cheap. I thought it would be something fun to work on. However, I was never really sure what to make with them. Are there patterns online for that?

Well when I got them at the yard sale they were all divided into separate little boxes. Each of the boxes were labeled with the dimensions of what the plastic had been cut into. Like if there were 10 holes by 5 holes....10x5. They're all rectangles or squares.

That doesn't look like canvas to me. Canvas is a big sheet that is painted onto. That example looks more like the tapestry we used to do in primary school, before advancing onto proper tapestry fabric.
How can a person paint onto it with so many large holes?
