  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Wow! Have you still got it? You could have an exhibition, or a charity event. I've never got into plastic canvas, partly I think 'cos I never have the time. I started to make a tissue holder once, but didn't get very far.

now mainly do bookmarkers and smaller items.... thinking about starting log cabin but still working on the design for it... love doing big projects... great to see people's expression when they notice that it is plastic canvas.....

No I gave it all away. all the things I made. I got many a blue ribbon though at the fair in our county.

I have made prayer books for my chruch's lutheran womans missionary league several times. they were a hit. It takes three hours ( about) to make one. I make 50-60 at a time for the ladies to give out to visiting churches from lutheran churches around the synod. Also make crosses to give to visitors to the church. they are a big hit too.

So where do you guys buy yarn? I went to Michael's and Wal Mart and had a hard time finding appropriate yarn---some "plastic canvas" yarn, but mostly had to use knitting yarn to get the right colors. And what I bought is too "frail," it frays easily. Any suggestions?

I use mostly the yarn that is made especially for plastic canvas , but sometimes it is better to use some reg. yarn. I use the small stuff on my crosses. it has silver intertwined with the yarn, which makes it stronger. I have to cover alot of small places with that yarn on the crosses. It dose just fine.

but I like to use the special canvas yarn on my larger projects. It really gives a nice uniformed look. really neat looking. I have made big christmas bells. they sure are pretty. It stands about 1 ft 6 inches and the bottom is about a foot across. it sure is bueatiful.
