  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

    You mean like forced sterilization?

Would that not be considered a CONSERVATIVE agenda?

No, I'm not speaking of forced sterilization. I'm thinking about sex education programs, availability of contraception, prenatal testing and counseling, postnatal testing and counseling --- all at no cost to the poor.

i found this on the internet it's going viral: 450x224xTwins-In-Utero-Live.jpg.pagespeed.ce.-qjJEazZFO.jpg
In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?”The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”

“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”

The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”

The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”

The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”

The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”

“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”

The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”

The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”

Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”

To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.

May be this was one of the best explanations to the concept of GOD."

Starting threads with vague accusations and then avoiding saying what exactly they're talking about? I mean, yeah, the OP is pointless but I wouldn't get overly dramatic about how bad it is.

Kind of interesting, but both the believing and unbelieving baby get exactly the same ending (being born). Extending your analogy means that belief is irrelevant to the outcome.

Doesn't really capture the concept of GOD, at least not the Christian one.

    Just for the record...

Margaret Sanger's most significant achievement was not PP. Along with her cohort, Katharine McCormick, it was funding the research by Dr. Gregory Pincus (a Harvard-trained endocrine biologist who did the basic science) and Dr. John Rock (a Harvard OB-GYN who did the clinical studies) that led to Enovid in the mid 50s. The first effective oral contraceptive. Which has been revolutionary.

This is a mod hat. It is a mod hat to remind folks to stay on topic, to play nicely and to remember the rules.
Thank you, and have a nice day.

Yeah, just like when we die. Except the difference is the believer knows where they are going and will not be surprised by it.

Mate, that bears no relevance to the conversation. I was talking about the baby analogy posted earlier.

That makes no sense. In the analogy, both babies go to the same place, regardless of what they believe in....unless you are suggesting unbelievers go to heaven?

Nope. Its primary purpose is abortion.

It does a few other things simply to point to them with pride and say, "See how we help people!"

It's very amusing that perfectly reasonable courses of actions have been labeled as conservative or liberal and thus get rejected out of hand by a sizeable portion of your population out of ideological reasons.

    Yeah, I agree.

While I am MOSTLY a conservative, I will not identify as such since conservative ideology includes many things I find abhorrent, like racism and patriarchy.
