Not just famous individuals but many protestant churches as well. Quite a large number of USA states and Canadian provinces have had legislation providing for the sterilization of people with mental and/or physical challenges. I am not sure how much of this was also racial based. Some of this legislation was on the books until just recently and some may still be law.

Margret Sanger from what I read never supported abortion only birth control. Planned parenthood like anything when the People aren't watchful was taken over to what its used for today a political tool to get political animals elected by scaring young women who think they don't have a choice so they have a abortion .
