Is Pink Floyd really Anti God? Are they really agianst God. And most importly is it ok to listen to there songs exept the ones that are bad.

if you listen to them with the love of the lord jesus in your heart then there can be no man who can say you do wrong. we are judged by how we interpret (by what you hear). if all you taste is pain then all your tongue is trained to discern pain. but if you are shown love....you have listend to pink floyd, do you think they are evil?

edit: personally i find that 'hey teacher leave those kids alone' lyric a little hard to swallow, but it could just as well be aimed at the golden cow crowd.

Throwing out questions like this on a website is perhaps not the safest way to make spiritual choices -- as you will probably get all kinds of contradictory answers based on person beliefs and tastes.

If you have a question, ASK GOD! If you are honest and open in your request for guidance, He will certainly let you know what His will is regarding the matter at hand.

As a rule of thumb, if you have questions about something -- such as Pink Floyd -- it is best to cease and desist until you get a clear answer from God. If you have a spiritual mentor or someone whose spiritual authority you are under -- a Pastor, Priest, Deacon, Elder, etc. -- discuss the issues with them.

Personally, i don't know if Pink Floyd is anti-God or not, but most of their stuff sure is depressing! Why would you want to listen to stuff like "Comfortably Numb" in the first place? (i will admit, however, to greatly enjoying "Intersteller Overdrive" off their first album way back in the dark ages.)

I think there's nuthin wrong w/ listening to most of their music or any other secular music at times (not to mean everything), but it's not spiritually uplifting for sure and shouldnt be your main source as far as music goes, is all. But some of PF's music has spoken to me a lot and has some good messages as well.

I think there are bigger issues in the world right now than whether or not "pink floyd is teh evil!!!11" - what can you do to help the kids in darfur?

Well, your right There are other problems in the world, and yeah this is very small problem.

But I just want to make sure that the music I'am listening isn't agianst God. Like Manson and Slayer etc, are. So I'am just going to wait on God for this answer, As I should for every other answer.

while i totally disagree with the idea of banning others from listening to certain genres of music, or even just outright saying a bands mu7sic is evil, dont listen to them (it just promotes them even more). ibanezuser i can only commend you in your actions of self-restraint, yours is a shining example to question this world and your own morality and what they are both made from.
