I think there are different versions of this type of illustration. But all of them are sort of interesting. I am not sure when were they made. But I guess it is probably be post Greek or post Roman. Interpretation changes with time (knowledge). I don't think the earlier one is necessary more true or more valuable than later one. Thousand years later, people would think my understanding on the same Bible verse is pretty primitive.I think we can be quite certain that these are the pillars of the earth that the Hebrews were talking about:
