• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've heard of them, but I couldn't ever figure out which genre of music it is, b/c I used to be a die-hard rock fan and it was played on my local rock station too.. and Switchfoot is another I couldn't determine...

Could anyone clue me in on this?

God Bless,
Justin.

Where did you hear that BD was going to split up and why are they???

I heard it from a christian rock station in Dallas. But after going to their website,(http://www.bigdismal.com/eteam/index.html) I found this.

"Just wanted to drop a few lines to let everyone know what going on. I flew into Texas last night to do a interview that will be apart of a 30 min. special about the making of the CD. Chuck and I have been writing like crazy for the next album. We are not sure when we will be recording again. It really depends on the songs. Things are going well for us and God has really smiled on the band lately. "Rainy Day" is #16 this week and shows no hint of slowing down. Thank you all for your never ending support. We would not be here without you. Love you all, Eric Durrance ps I wrote a song inspired by the hurricane's that have been leaving so many people without homes, water , and food. Florida has really taken a beating this year and it will be a long recovery. Please include them in your prayers. The song is called ("Hold On") and will be on the next cd."

So I guess I was wrong. Sorry about the scare.
