  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

If anyonw is looking for a way to loss inches and become more flexible, Pilates is the way to go I have been doing pilates for a little over a month and I can tell the difference, I didn't used to be able to get through the workout but now I go through it pretty easily even though I am still stuggling on my teaser part of the work out.

Oh, Hey, that's great! and congrats on your accomplishments!!

Do you mind telling what kind of pillates routine you are doing? I want to do pilates, but all I have is a book... what else is good to do?

I would appreciate any advice/suggestions you have!

God bless

I also love pilates. This is coming from someone who couldn't get through the first 30 seconds of yoga. But pilates has definitely started to change the shape of my body.

I do Winsor Pilates. ( I got the 3 CD set on a clearance from Walmart for like $14.00) I started off doing the 20 minute workout for maybe 3 weeks and now I'm on to the 55 minute accelerated workout. I haven't yet made it all the way through that one, but I'm working on it.

The teaser is sooooooo hard! And in the Winsor tape it comes towards the end when every part of my body hurts. I'm getting better though...my first time through that workout I just sat and stared in awe. At least now I'm trying.

I had the pilates machine (Pilates Pro). I used it for two years. It was ok, but I still prefer weight lifting. It's just a matter of what one is looking to attain.

Congrats, bellegirl on your success. Good job :)

Some day I would like to get my Pilates cert. Pilates is great and safe for everyone. I cannot think of a negative thing about Pilates. The history is interesting, check it out some time. It was started by a man named Joseph Pilates who was a severe asthmatic and could not do traditional exercise. Make sure to do your cardio to compliment this wonderful fitness activity! God Bless, and enjoy!
