CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well these really aren't from work, but I thought I'd post them here anyway... this was from a fly-in/ airshow I went to this last Sunday.
Photo-wise it was a terrible day for me. I shot about 1,300 pics and only kept about 300, and that was being generous keeping some softer ones for other projects like T-shirts/graphics for my cafepress store.
I've found that sometimes it seems as though certain airplanes just do not want to be photographed. lol This day it was two gorgeous warbirds, a P-51 Mustang and P-47 Thunderbolt.
I was so excited to see them and they did about 6 pass each!! But things didn't work out and I was really unhappy with the results.
Anyway, here are 4 that actually turned out OK.
Julie Clark and her T-34 Mentor...
One of the things I love about whatching her perform is how low she gets that airplane. It's amazing to watch and she makes it look very easy.
This was a formation team that performed and did some increidble maneuvers! They are called "Red Eagle Air Sports" and fly the Christine Eagle.
This guy was coming in nice and hot for ths flyby in a T-6 Texan.

Aaww, thank you, I'm glad you like my pictures.
Stay tuned as there are a TON to follow in the next three weeks! For everyone else, I'm probably not going to be very active here for the next two weeks as I have two major airshows I'm attending. One is here in Seattle and I'll be photographing the US Navy Blue Angels, Patriots formation team, USMC AV-8B Harrier II demo and Sean D. Tucker. The week after that I'll follow the Blue Angels down to Hillsboro, Oregon for the Oregon International Airshow. In anticipation of these events running back to back I purchased myself a Wolverine FlashPac 7000 60GB portable storage device. You can expect a full review of that puppy when some of the dust settles.
(Last year I shot about 4,500 pics at Hillsboro and it was a shorter show than this year!)

Now that's the way to go!! That 500GB would certainly be nice, especailly shooting RAW.Nice work, BBA.

Oh man, believe me, that picture doesn't even begin to do it justice! It's so weird to think that just ONE set of landing gear from that moster weighs more than the airplanes I'm currently flying.

Hey boss, nice work, but a lot more folks could see them if you took the time to scale them down for internet posting. You're posting pics that are like 300 X 400 pixels that are 800KB in file size! Most people are still on dial-up modem you know. After getting only about 7 or 8 pictures after 10 minutes, my patience wears thin. Thanks.
