what is happening to us so called christians. no wonder we are not saving the lost. Wake up! If you are a Believer be a Believer. If you are a wolf in sheeps clothing i will expose you because i have a passion for the lost and for my Lord Jesus Christ. and i have yet to hear anyone else comfess Jesus Christ as Lord.

If we are all Believers and have put on the mind of Christ. than why do we put on the name of a denomination due to differing views. Have we or have we not put on the name of JESUS CHRIST.

And Jesus Christ is not dead hanging on a cross. He is risen and seated at the right hand of the Father. As soon as the Father says "Now" He will return to earth and every eye will see Him coming on the clouds. Than all the armies of the world will gather to meet Him in battle at Golgotha. There My Lord will sloghter them all and stain His white robs with there blood. Than He will set the captives free. and rule the nations with a rod of iron.

Do you think it is appropriate for a new Beliver to read the message bible thinking it is the Word of God.

I will be perfectly honest with you. if i was handed a message bible when i came to Christ i would have correctly decided it was a bunch of scubala and i would have become a satanist.

There will be many different opinions and bits of advice given to new Christians on this forum. Even if we don't agree with some of them, we are not permitted to debate them here.

If a post overtly contradicts the statement of faith, we should report it to the moderators. Otherwise, theological differences (including denominations, Bible translations, etc.) are not to be argued here.

A new Christian needs a place to be accepted to be nurtured and to grow, a place to work out Her or His salvation, as Paul would say.

Which is appropriate is more about the local church than about its denomination, more about the style of worship and the welcoming nature of its congregation than doctrine. There is plenty of time to change congregations later if the Spirit so guides.

I would recommend a Methodist Church or an Anglican Church. In these churches, one is exposed to the key elements of the Christain life: to worship, to prayer and to fellowship. Each is accepting of a wide spectrum. Each has many styles of worhip, often in the same church community.
