• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's a big world, and all parts of it need the love and blessings of God.

I've picked one city, and I'm going to pray for it and it's people everyday for one month. I'm going to learn as much as I can about it during the month, so I can pray more effectively.

It's Rufaa, al-Jazirah, Sudan, population 35,000.

Who's with me?

Who will pick one city on the other side of the world from wherever you live, and pray for it daily for one month?

I am with you little agnello (lamb)...I pick Visano, Italy...tiny little town in Italy, dirt roads, 1 store, and the most wonderful people who speak in half Italian, half dialect. When I was there with a friend, I was the first american EVER to come to their town, they even held a special mass for me at their little church, and I taught them the english word "hi"..ciao, as they say..so I will pray for Visano and their people for 1 month! love and Blessings to you Visano...preghiera con molto amore...

Too many to count. Haitian cities need God bad. Many Colombian towns need God bad, Honduran towns need God bad, shoot San Francisco needs God bad.

I'm going to just pray for every town in the world... can I do that? :)

I'm going to pray for my town of Lake Wales. It has the highest population of AIDS and drug dealers in Florida. It is a small town, very suprising to me. Also very big spiritual battle being faught right now. Pray that God will destroy satan's power over these people.

Yesterday I prayed about the spiritual condition of Rafaa. I prayed that people would be eagerly seeking a relationship with God and that God would send people who know Him well into the town. I prayed for any missionaries that might be there, that they would have a glow about them, not to call attention to themselves, but a glow that would show them to be children of the living God. I prayed that God's people there would be steadfast and mature in the faith, and not do anything that would defame God or cause true seekers to be turned away.

Today I'm praying that there will be a shipment of Bibles and Christian literature into the town, that it will escape the notice of the authorities and that the people who want to know about Christ will get the information unhindered.

Tomorrow, I'm planning to pray for Christian radio to reach Rafaa, in the language of the people.

How's it going for all of you? Any prayers or info to report?

Visano is going great...I had lit a candle at church for the town as well, and it will continue to burn as a symbol of my prayers...This summer, I plan to go there...so far so good in the prayer department...little agnello(lambslove), do the authorities monitor tightly any and all literature to the city you are praying for?

SUDAN FACTS
Major religions: Islam, Christianity
Life expectancy: 54 years (men), 56 years (women)
Average annual income: US $320

Yikes! That's not much money to live on, is it?

They don't have any Christian radio in Rafaa, or anywhere in Sudan. They have many Islamic radio stations, though.

I'm going to keep praying that Rafaa will start getting Christian broadcasting, even from a station in Uganda, Kenya, or from the Seychelles. There are Christian FM stations in each of those countries, and I pray that they will have the power to reach the people of Rafaa clearly and continuously!

I pray that they would all have radios that can receive the Christian programming, and that the radiowaves will not be blocked, but inhanced.

i think mine would have to be Los Angeles. Recently, a kid of my age got shot and killed by a gang. After finding out that there are as many as 150,000 people involved in gangs in that city, i think i'm going to pray for LA.

"Through God anything is possible."
good idea! I go to school in Los Angeles and I work there too, in a trauma center none the less, so you can imagine the things I see....Jeepers, not pleasant! LA needs your prayers, so thanks!

Will you all please pray for Tokyo, that the powers of demons and false religions be broken, that many lost souls will see that materialism and false gods no longer can meet their needs, and that they will come to Jesus as Lord and Savior?

Thank you :)
