• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

While battleing or in recovery has any one else got physical pain from eating or even drinking? I've been trying to take in more fluids and my stomach begins to swell and I get sharp pains in my stomach. It seems and feels as though it just stays there. Like my body isn't getting rid of it or using it. The psycologist uped my meds to the maximum dose this week. And I was reading that one of the signs is Ana. My hunger is gone and I feel sick to my stomach having to force my self to eat. They said that upping the meds will help with my OCD. And I have had bad reactions to other meds. I just don't know how I'm to fight this side effect?

Ive gotten physical pain after eating when Ive not eaten in awhile. I also tend to get sick if I eat too much food, or too much meat/other high protein stuff, since my body isnt used to it. Just increase the amounts you eat slowly, I guess.

Talk to your doctor about the med. Anorexia as a side effect basically means loss of appetite. Just make a meal plan and try to stick to it. Im not really sure what else to do about that type of side effect.
