I like the feel of physical books, but sometimes I get a book on my Kindle because of its massive length or because I need o do a lot of research with it, and thus use the searching and reference features. The Kindle also offers lots of big collections - so you can open it up and have all these books, essays, poems, etc. all in one place, for a fraction of the cost of getting physical copies.

Physical books, because I'm very traditional in the sense that there's nothing like the feel of having a paperback copy available to you at all times. Even the rare and hard to find books haven't been a problem for me, because Amazon has a surprisingly large selection of reading material.

Physical books or ebooks? Which do you prefer?

You can call me old school, because I prefer reading physical books to ebooks. But my sister is very technology-inclined and she has her own Kindle and she prefers reading ebooks to physical books.

I am not like her. I don't really like holding and reading from a Kindle. Even thought ebooks are much cheaper than physical books, I don't really care about the price, I just like physical books more.

I prefer physical books without the shadow of a doubt. I do actually have an e-reader but I mainly use it for articles I find on the internet that are too long to read on-screen. (Saves a bit of ink by not printing it.)

I tend to find ebooks don't render poetry well
Very true, the formatting of the text matters when you write poetry.

Someone posted this in another thread on this forum, and I thought it was striking!

An undeniable advantage of physical books is that there are more used books being sold, it's easier to find exactly the kind of book You want, than to find used for a Bible Study software platform even though I've bought and sold some used under two platforms as well. But when buying print books You should watch out so that You don't use only the very biggest sites and vendors because if You do it's about the same thing as supporting the biggest of the advanced Bible Study software platforms.

I can see the practicality of e-books, but I just can't get into them.
Of course, I can't afford to get a Kindle or anything like that, most of the e-books I've read have been sitting, hunched over my desk top looking at what I call a "Wall-o-Words". I've read some good independent novels this way, but I get tired of it quickly and I'm more likely to walk away and lose interest.

My antipathy for the "Wall-o-Words" format is also why you will notice that anytime I make a long post (most of the time) I will separate it into 3-4 paragraphs.

Real books. I've read a few ebooks but I just don't get into them the same way. Mostly a preference thing; I'll read an ebook if it's all I can get my hand on. Only exception is the Bible itself. Just can't do it with e-versions. Gotta be print only, with a pen handy.

I certainly prefer paper books, however my parents continually tell em we don't have enough room for all of them.
In this situation I have no choice to buy eBooks instead. How do I loath some technological advances.

Frankly, I just like looking at my overstuffed bookshelf and feeling like I've accomplished something (when all I did was spend all of my money on books)
There is nothing wrong with that. Have you read them all or are they more ornamental?
