Does anyone here photoshop their photos? I mean more than the average crop, brightnesss or sharpness adjustments to enhance your pictures? I like to play around with textures and other effects and once in a while make fantasy scenes.

You bet I do! It's so much fun and challenging.

I was playing one day and turned this flower into a landscape.

I use PhotoShop Elements, and I'm trying to learn to work with layers. I've done the basic editing for a long time (cropping, adjusting lighting and contrast, hue saturation, etc.). I'm not a pro at touching up blemishes and such, but I do some of that as well. I would like to learn more about PS Actions...It would be nice to have some of those to work with. I've got a few saved from a friend, but that's about it. I would love to take a class on PhotoShop so I could do some really neat stuff. :)

Not a photo I take is used anywhere without processing first, seriously.
I've used PSP, PS Elements, PS CS3 and Lightroom all at different times. Right now, I do basic stuff in Lightroom, before I export it via CS3 for final control. It's a bit of a lengthy process, but really rewarding in the end..
Check out my photos here if you'd like.

Why spend hundreds of dollars on photoshop?

No, I'm not suggesting you steal it, as so many people do. I'm suggesting an open-source (free) alternative that does more than most people will ever want to do.

GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program

If you think it might be limited in what it can do, check out some YouTube tutorials with GIMP.

I don't think I'd take Photoshop back if it was free. BTW, Photoshop can still do some things GIMP can't. It's just that I don't need any of that stuff.

Maybe you don't, either.
