photoshop help - urgent

I need to create an effect as seen in the pic (Link below) - the sunspot kind of effect - I have downloaded a demo of photoshop in hopes that it will have what i need to create it.....can any of you photoshoppers tell me if i can do this easily?

Hi Talie,

I'm using Photoshop CS2 and it's really easy; use the lens flare tool (located under the Filter->Render menu). Have a play around to get the exact effect you want.

thankyou thankyou thankyou!!! the tool wasn't as flexible as I would have liked but i think i've come up with something the client will be happy with (personally, i HATE the colors and animations but she's very insistant on what she wants)

I love the lens flare tool. Another cool filter is the Render Lighting tool. I'm not sure if it's in the demo, but you can do some pretty fancy stuff with it.
