This is a picture I had taken last winter. I had a rose bush blooming in the basement and I took a bloom outside and put it in the snow on the tree..

Beautiful photos!

I can only join in by expressing my ooohs and aaaahs at other people's photography skills. I am Horrible at it. All aspects, from taking pictures to downloading them (or taking the film in for developing when we used to do that back in the dark ages) to putting them in albums.... all of it. When I feel guilty at holidays and birthdays that I'm the only one NOT taking pictures, I console myself with the fact that for centuries there were no such things as cameras and pictures, and people still somehow remembered their important events.

And thankfully, I have a sister who IS a great photographer, so I know I can always ask her for doubles.

It's where I live. I took the pic with my cell phone camera when I took a walk around the lake a few days ago. I live on an island with a few lakes.

Last Winter was very cold, and this pic was taken right outside my door. You can see that the lake was frozen.

I've got some that would look good here, the problem is that I don't have them readily accessible. I'd have to post them here as attachments and this forum is a fussbudget about how many attachments I can have. So, I'll have to investigate something like Photobucket first.
