Phone call from The Holy Ghost

It was a demon, prank call. As I have stated many times before on this forum. When a
message is given and it is not understood or you just did not hear it. Is is from the Dark-side. Because if you heard it, you would know it's truth. Have you ever seen a
comedy sketch. When some one is asked a question and they cover, their mouth and
talk real fast. They are telling the truth but the others can not hear what they are saying. Same thing. So you are saying that that God, the Creator of the Universe
visits you in Spirit and the only thing He can say is "hello, then something else, you did not understand or do not remember".
Use street smarts. Cell Phone? Really.
Of course others will say god called you. Believe what ever, I would not
answer the phone in a dream again. Demons will tell you they are the holly spirit
all day long.

If we expect (have faith for) demons, we will hear from demons.
Proverbs 11:27 He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it.
If we are seeking the Father though Jesus, we will receive good things.
Luke 11:11-13 Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[a] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
In the light of these verses, if we are generally expecting evil to show up, what does it say about our view of our heavenly Father?
This doesn't mean we throw out all discernment, we are told to test everything & hold onto the good (1 Thes 5:21). But we don't test it with street smarts, we test it with the word or God & discernment by the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:14
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
In Daniel 8 Daniel was given a vision & then the meaning of the vision was explained to him & he still did not understand it.
27 I, Daniel, was worn out. I lay exhausted for several days. Then I got up and went about the kings business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.
God's nature & ways are beyond our understanding, so there will regularly be things He says & does that we don't understand.
Romans 11:33
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
There is nothing unbiblical in what you have experienced. I would really like to have a dream like this.
I had a dream last night, in my dream my mobile phone (phones can symbolize spiritual communication or prayer.) started ringing (A sense of expectation. When a phone rings & we pick it up, we expect to hear from someone), and I picked it up (You responded ). The name of the caller was 'Holy Ghost' or 'Holy Spirit' (Gives some emphasis to this being a spiritual dream) This was clear as light (Revelation/clarity). I picked the phone up (emphasis in response), and said 'hello' (This is a greeting, the beginning of communication). While waiting (There is waiting in our communication with God) for a reply my heart skipped a beat (Connection at heart level. THis is what the Lord desires) because I was not sure what I would hear.
The reply was more of a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:2 After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
) and soothing (This is a very rich word!! )
There is a sense of comfort to it. The Holy Spirit is called the comforter.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The root word soothe is "From Middle English sothen (to verify, prove the validity of), from Old English sōþian (to verify, prove, confirm, bear witness to), from Proto-Germanic *sanþōnan (to prove, certify, acknowledge, testify),

If the validity of something is proven, the truth of it is proven. The Holy Spirit is also called the Spirit of Truth (John 16:13)
The Holy Spirit testifies to Jesus.
John 15:26
When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Fatherthe Spirit of truth who goes out from the Fatherhe will testify about me.
The Holy Spirit also gives us assurance that we are saved, by bearing witness to our spirit that we are His child
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

It gives them emphasis), and the hello I had said kept ranging in my ears (Seek & keep on seeking, ask & keep on asking Matt 7:7 NLT), that i thought i must have woke up someone next room to me. My right (Right can symbolize righteousness. We come to God thru the righteousness of Christ) ear which was where I placed the handset in my dream was tingling (This is a common manifestation of the Holy Spirit when people are being prayed for) when i woke up even till now.

Hi,
It seems like the Holy Spirit is calling you. The Lord wants your attention to listen to Him.
I had similar dreams. half asleep i heard my phone ringing. I woke up, but in real life it didn't ring. also after or before that I heard knocking on the door half asleep. In real life there was knocking.
So in my case it was the same, the Lord wanted my attention.
Say to him, like little Samuel did, when the Lord called him:
"Speak, for hty servant heareth." (1. Samuel, 3,9.)

It seems like the Holy Spirit is calling you. The Lord wants your attention to listen to Him.

So in my case it was the same, the Lord wanted my attention.
Say to him, like little Samuel did, when the Lord called him:

A lot of people are getting "last call" alerts this month. There are always end-timers, but these last few weeks a lot of the people who don't speak of end times as often are hearing calls from God to be ready, to stay close in communication, to walk in the light, and to draw family members to Him. It has been very sobering to hear some of them.
I am not saying that this is an end-of-the-world notice -- it could also be an event that becomes so disabling that we will flounder in knowing where to turn. Political, military, economic, geospatial, electromagnetic, seismic, religious.
There have also been many dreams about religious deception lately. Notice how the voice came through the commercial phone instead of your usual mode of hearing from God. It said Holy Spirit, and it sounded like you might imagine the Holy Spirit to sound like, but you did not seem to make that comforting conclusion that it was the same Lord that dwells within you.
Stay on guard.

Loved your dream. I personally believe you actually had a Holy Ghost encounter. An "awakening" call. I have had a very few "phone call" dreams and have had real significance within them. Just so you understand the relevance, I'm gonna share one I had years ago:
I had a short dream, but at the end of the dream a phone number was given on the caller id of the cell phone. When I woke up, I was repeating that number over and over -- mouthing it. It was early, but I couldn't help just placing a call to that number -- I did not know whose number it was, even though it did seem a little familiar (most numbers are pre-programmed into phones by name now). Not even expecting someone to pick up, I hear a voice answer and I don't know what I'm gonna say . . . but the voice began to stammer and cry and she said, "You always call when I need you" and it took me a few seconds, but I realized it was a lady I had gone to church with years back. So I just told her I loved her and that God had put her on my heart -- even given me her number in my dream -- that's how important she was to God.
So, the moral to the story is . . . God still speaks . . . and what an awesome privilege to be on the receiving end

I also would take this as a wonderful encouragement that the Lord has much he wants to speak to you, in terms of tender edification, and that he wants you to continue pressing in. As FW eloquently says, of course we must always use discernment. But I would agree there is nothing specific to be concerned about at this point. Somewhere it is written that to the pure all things are pure, but to the unbelieving, nothing is pure.

No Gary, dont put a downer to what The Holy Spirit has for me.
I don't think anything that was so spirit filled an peaceful will be from the devil.
I know when something is from The Lord.
Last night I was coming home from evening service at church with a friend who also goes to the same church, and I started to tell him about the phone call. As I was speaking to him, I started speaking in tongues, and I was deeply moved by The Holy Spirit that I felt very light and shaky. I could not complete what I had to tell him.
I knew this was a sign from God
demons have no chance when God is concerned, neither can they fake anything that is clearly God's
The voice I heard after I said 'hello' did not sound like a voice from a demon, and when i woke up, i did not feel any evil entity at all, but rather I felt the peace of God, and serenity.
So this was nothing from the devil.
P.s Gary, I copied and pasted your earlier counter to my testimony a few weeks back. I realised you are the same person who countered everything being said and testified about God.

If I am convinced and firmly believe this came from God, why should you insert demon where God is concerned. Its a sin on its own to connect demons to the works of The Holy Spirit. I say these things because The spirit of God prompted me to. You need to be closer to God if you are not, and be careful when you quickly put downers on people's testimony when God is concerned. God will never do anything to hurt His children, and will never make them feel like He is not with them at all. When He shows Himself or talks even in riddles, He will explain it and confirm what He does.
Maybe if you dont have much to offer in terms of positivity, then be very careful what you say. Its a different thing to tell someone to pray for discernment and ask God for confirmation, and its a totally different thing to say things from God are demon work. Your reply gave me goosebumps and thanks for explaining this in details like you did. I am 100% convinced this call was from God. As you mentioned regarding God when there was a strong wind, then earthquake, then fire, but God was not in any of them, then came this gentle whisper...
I had specifically prayed this prayer several times, and asked God to speak in a gentle whisper to my life, to me.
I cannot explain how overwhelmed I felt when this phone call happened.
Im actually surprised someone here said it was from a demon...talk about negating what The Holy Spirit does.
