That's like..one of my life goals: to see The Phantom of the Opera live. But I may go see it with my youth group, since I believe it's starting again.
I started listening to the soundtrack first (way before the movie came out). I'm actually listening to it right now o_O'
I loooove the movie. Well, most of it. I hate how some parts were spoken instead of sung, and I really didn't like the guy who layed Raoul. But I loooove the phantom way better than the one on broadway. I know his voice isn't as good, but he has a darker quality that I prefer. My favourite scene from the movie is no doubt the Masquerade. AAAAAAAAAAAH IT'S SO GOOD!!!!

The Phantom of the Opera is definitely my favourite musical.

Ahh, I LOVE this musical!! :D The movie was when I was first introduced to it and loved it. I just saw it on Aug. 3 at Her Majesty's Theatre in London for the first time. I thought it was the most beautiful stage production I have ever seen. The title song scene was amazing. I really hope I get to see this musical again. They're putting in a permanent production in Las Vegas (where I live) so I've been joking around with my parents telling them that I'll be wanting to see it all the time. It's a great production and an amazing musical, I hope you get to see it! :)

I love the stage version so much! :) I saw it twice in August and had the opportunity to meet "Erik," "Christine," and "Raoul" (Gary, Beth, and Michael) at the stage door - what fun that was (I even got pictures and autographs)! They completely outdid themselves that day - it was a beautiful performance. The stage is SO much better than the movie version in my opinion on so many different levels.

If you'd like to see where the National Tour is coming, google "the mauers online" and click on the first site that comes up, then click on "schedule: gary's schedule." It has the tour dates up until June 2006. I'm seeing it in December (Cincinnati) and January (Pittsburgh). :) I hope to see it on Broadway someday, and hopefully someday in London as well!

I have seen Phantom on Broadway (last summer), on it's tour to Ohio (when I was like, 5yrs old, lol), and I own the movie.

When I saw it on Broadway Christine was an understudy so I was a bit disappointed but it was none the less GREAT...if you ever get the chance to see it there, do it :D

I've seen the stage production in Melbourne Australia, years ago. I was 13 and it was the first big stage production I'd eva been to, it swept me off my feet. The music is magnificent and so absorbing, the singing is phenomenal and the costumes are fantastic... I could rave about it for ages. It was one the most memorable entertainment experiences of my life! :)

I haven't seen the stage version. The movie was great. I have listened to the music from it for the past 7 years. The music from phantom is my daughter's favorite music to play on her flute. I'm hoping that I can take her to see it live on broadway in Jan. for her 21st birthday.

I loved phantom of the opera so much it is my ringtone on my phone. Sometimes I just let it ring so I can hear the song. I saw both in theater and in the movies and I have to say the theater is so much more alive. It brings chills to you as you watch it come alive. Something a movie camera can't do.

We are going to see Evita next week in the theater and I can hardly wait.

I saw this one years ago in Texas and to be honest, I wasn't as impressed with this one as others such as Miss Saigon and Aida...but don't get me wrong - it's really good. There's just better ones out there. The music in the Phanton is incredible though. Especially the last song where she gets really high pitched..love that!

I've only seen the movie but I loved it! How great was the music?! It was such a fantastic score! Have any of you guys read the book? Apparently it was based on a book but I can't remember the author.

The musical is coming to Australia soon and some of my friends are already looking forward to seeing it so I hope I'll be able to see it with them. I love musicals. There's something so wonderful and magical about them.

This is kinda off topic but one of my plans is to see Les Miserables on the stage. Has anyone seen it? Is it any good?
