This game really deserves its own thread, because it's that good!

Think M:tG combined with anime-esque fighting.

In short, there's this Phantom Dust in the air that causes everyone who stays on the surface too long to lose their memories. However, it also gives certain people the ability to manipulate things with their will.

You have 30 skills/aura (aura increase your level to use your skills, think of them as land and mana) and you can collect more skills as you progress (300 in the single-player and another 40 that can only be collected by winning against people online). A max of 3 skills will spawn in your home area at any one time (think of it as a library where the top 3 cards are revealed and you can pick which one you wanna pick up next), and you can have up to 4 things in your hand to use. They are divided into attack, defense, erase, status (think enchantments), special, and environmental (think global enchantments). The schools are psycho (esp, materialized will, also mines), nature (elemental stuff), ki (martial arts stuff), faith (religious stuff), and optical (laser stuff).

Oh, and did I mention destructible environments?

It's made by the guy who made the Panzer Dragoon series if that helps. He even has a blog that you can read at http://phantomdust.1up.com/

And if you set your XBox system to Japanese, the entire game will be in Japanese as well for those who want the authentic feel.

And it's only $20.

It's good to hear people talking about Phantom Dust, but why am I not surprised you made this thread, Dracil? :p

Anyway, I'll just get to the point. I'm having a terrible time with this last boss. Does anyone have any pointers for me? I found big bomb to be the most effective attack to use against it, but the biggest problem I have is running out of time when I'm fighting him. Any suggestions would be great, thanks in advanced.
