I know that myself and a few others, if we find a pet in the adoption center that is in need, we adopt it, nurse it back to help, then try to find it a good home. I'm curious as to who all does this. Not that I'm complaining. Like I said I do it myself. And everyone who is doing it is doing a good job. Last time I looked the only pet up for adoption was a cat and he was in wonderful shape.

Sadly, there were several others that were only there temperarily, but were in desperate need of attention. But I didn't see anyway to help them. Not while they're in temperary care anyways.

I do... and I can now bring the pets here to get played with. before placing back up for adoption.... Erwin is working on allowing us to feed each others pets... not know how long before that happens...

I'm watching a couple of pets that only have a short time to live that are in the pet care/adoption center. If they become available, I hope I can put Boscoe in daycare long enough to nurse one of them back to health and then put it up for adoption.

Just remember two things:

you need to watch your own pet that you put in daycare - to be more precise: you need to watch for the day when it is released (check regularly on : so and so many days left). Because if you have a pet the moment your own pet is released from daycare, your own pet will be send to the adoption centre. It's by default. And there is no warning.

This is especially important because you can't adopt your own pet (one that you gave up for adoption - even if that happened only by accident). You'd need to contact another member and ask him to adopt your own pet and then give it back later to you.

And the other thing you need to watch is the end of the month - pets that are in the adoption centre at the end of the month will be released into cyberspace and won't come back

Since it may take a few days until a pet gets adopted, try not to put it up for adoption towards the end of the month.

I guess I don't get over here much anymore.I don't understand how you're adopting more than one pet. I'll try and figure it out.

What you do is put your current pet in the temp care facilities for as long as you are going to care for a rescue pet.

Example: I put Kiwi(my bird) in the temp care facilities for a week and rescued Angelina for a week. If I don't get a home for Angelina, or put her up for adoption before Kiwi comes back to me, Kiwi goes up for adoption and I can't get her back.
