  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

1] People who dont use turning signals. Is it that hard to flip it on when youre going to turn?

2] People who go through the drive through at fast food restraunts and orders 100 different things, each on its own receipt.

3] Hardees commercials

4] People who think they know what they are talking about, even though I know the facts, and they continuously talk as if their opinion was true, and Im the one who is wrong. When Im right, Im right, if Im not certain then I dont press the issue.

5] Lights and arrows that turn green for non existent traffic while I have to sit at a redlight for nobody to pass through.

6] Street lights that turn off as I approach them

7] People who ride the elevator to go up or down one story, then complain they dont understand how they are so fat

8] Societies obsession with tattoos, they are not cool, in fact one of the practices thats increasing is tattoo removal. What seems like a good idea at the age of 18, doesnt seem so good at 38, but you will always have a little reminder of your dumber days.

9] People who cant follow simple instructions, causing me to have to hold their hand through the easiest things. Especially multiple times

10] Pop-up windows that lead to other pop-up windows, its a vicious never ending cycle.

11] Telemarketer calls.

12] Using sex to sell products that has absolutley nothing to do with sex, such as Ice cream, etc.

if you drove a little slower, you would have had no problem stopping! those SUVs give drivers a bit too much confidence!
See - in snow those who drive like grannies and start slowing down fifteen minutes before the stop sign do the best!

Let's see what are mine....

1) folks who wait untill the last minute to merge. I feel ya'lls pain on that one, my mom does that and it scares the bejebbies outta me. I am sooooo happy I learned how to drive even it wasn't until age 23 :p A huge relief

2) having to explain something over and over and over....if ya don't get it the first three times ya ain't never gonna get it...

3) radio ads..can't stand them, I cringe everytime I hear one. I usually stay on the channel here that plays 40 minute music sets and I only have to listen to maybe 15 minutes of ads in a nine hour period.

4) folks who tell the same story over and over. Just won't let things go

That is all I can think of for now :)

Oh, here's another one...people who put unnecessary gross stuff in food where it doesn't belong. Like putting onions in anything could be considered unnecessary in my opinion.
:) I might be a little bit of a picky eater though!
Mmmm... sweet onions and sweet peppers in Philly cheese steaks... mmmm. :^)

Any particulars - gruyere, swiss, gouda, cheddar, provolone, or romano? Hmmm - I feel a food thread coming on...
My three favorite cheeses in no particular order:

1. Bleu
2. Gouda
3. Muenster

Of course, it has to be Swiss or Provolone on a Philly Cheesesteak...and the more onions, the better.

I'll bite on the second two, but switch the first for havarti or cheddar, or something where the mould isn't quite as vocal (no limburger or gorgonzola or other slimy-shoe cheeses, although you should be able to smell a good romano or parmesan a good two rooms away while cooking).

Definitely provolone on the Philly - city ordinance. Swiss is acceptable, but anything else is a crime. :^)

People that pretend to be someone they're not

People who "beat around the bush" when they talk. Come on, say it already!!!

People who come to my home and make messes, lie on my floor, get in my fridge, etc.

People who whine(esp. girls who whine about their "you know what" and assume that because I'm a woman, I want to hear all about it. Not!!!

People who think their last name or position puts them above anyone else.

This has been a funny thread. ;-)

Here's mine in no particular order

Sharing a house with a male who leaves the toilet seat up
Said male who "misses" and won't clean it

Anybody in the house who will leave a gob of mayonaiise or peanut butter still on the knife or spoon and then tosses it into the clean dishwater so the mayo in particular turns the water into a greasy mess.
That really chaps my hide for some reason.

People who leave sharp knives in said dishwater

People who are using their cell phone while they're driving and think they can execute a turn at 40mph with one hand at an intersection of a busy street or even on a highway on ramp

People talking about their personal business on a cell phone loud enough for you to hear. (so sometimes I will stop and go "really? He did THAT? I'd dump his ****!)

The classic kid crying in a movie theatre. Especially if it's Return of the King

lol

Kids who are having a temper tantrum at the grocery store and the parent caves in. Like that's going to help.

Ethnic american citizens who act like they can't speak or understand English when I know full well they do.

Corporate froo froo shoppers attitude. Like sales people at a Nordstrom or a Victoria's Secret store;
Corporate froo froo shopping victims: like someone sitting at Starbuck's because they think they're cool. *rolls eyes* or someone spending $80 on an ugly purse at Sax's and then think they're superior.

Anyone who follows all of the "latest trends" - be it fashion or a drink. Someone who buys Sobe just because everyone else is and then two months later switches to something else.

ergh.

Getting disconnected off the internet right when I am downloading.

too many pet peeves...lol.

Stupid drivers. Don't they realize that turn signals come standard in every vehicle? Why do they always drive so slow in the fast lane?
