and women who stare you down, argh!

I get the stare down A LOT when I'm with my oldest daughter and it's ALWAYS from other women.
My oldest is 15 and is 5'6" and I am only 5' and I have been told I look like a child. When she calls me mom in public I get the most horrible looks LOL, not exactly sure why but thank God looks can't kill

My pet peeve is when parents dress themselves warmer than they do their babies; like yesterday at a game and it was quite windy out, they mom had on a jacket but the baby was in shorts and a short sleeve and NO hat

I've seen this in the winter too; the parents will have on a big winter jacket and the baby will have no jacket, hat, or blanket !

when youre out and about and you quickly grab a snack marked 'low fat'.....youre in the middle of eating and doing your busy sched and then you see the SUGAR CONTENT!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH YEAH...AND IT WAS IN THE 'HEALTH FOOD ' SECTION.

We all have pet peeves! I have some kind of strange ones and was just wanting to hear everyone else's.

I'll go first

I can let my bed go unmade all day long and it doesn't bother me, but before I go to bed I have to make my bed completely!

I would classify this as more of a compulsion than a pet peeve. Slightly neurotic, but harmless.

Among my legions of pet peeves, I despise those booming bass systems so many people have in their cars these days. It is beyond rude to play noise so loud that you can literally feel it coursing into your body. I would call it as pervasive an invasion of someone's personal space as blowing smoke in their face.

I totally agree with you! Especially when you can feel your insides vibrating

when you get a medical practitioner who asks you what the problem is and they hardly look up from their scribbling something down, then they jump on the first thing you say, and dont want to talk for long...they are writing out the prescription or summarising your symptoms while you are actually talking still describing your symptoms.
when this has happened to me..it feels like a fight to be heard.

i rarely go to the doc but when something like this happens it makes you feel like they think youre some kind of hypo chondriac......and you just are not done telling the symptoms!!!!!!

people that put added burdens on those already visibly weighed down with a ton of woes, some not seen, others clearly visible....it simmers me blood

'come and look at what i bought myself today ' the friend with nothing and struggling, then makes approving generous noises...whilst feeling a smallness she tries to hide,for the sake of her friend, who deserves to have these things, she works hard

nothing wrong with one person has, another hasnt,,thats life....but ...time and a place.....INSENSITIVE!!

when others see a mom struggling to home school her children and do the umpteen things she's gotta do every day, day in and day out, and think she needs to get a life? say what? Doing what she's doing is like swimming upstream cuz so-ci-e-ty don't think it's cool to devote your life, blood, sweat, and tears to something that should be an after thought, like children.

oooo!! that was a great peeeeeve!!! well said!! theres such a lot of that eh, that sort of thing...and yet what the person is doing is beyond noble, sacrificial etc......its something called LOVE!!
Something s-o-c-i-e-t-y bangs on about wanting....but struggles to find.....we shouldnt be surprised...its just the world..doin world stuff...Jesus told us not to be surprised.
still...it feels good to express these lovely emotions He gave us hey?

oh yeah..just how expensive dental treatment is....how hard it is in England to find good dentistry...and how so many of the materials they use are toxic to the body.
its like..stress to find a dentist, stress to get the work done, stress to afford it and then stress cos of long term effects of some of the materials......

the idea of paying so dearly for the stress alone makes me angry...but e fact that you pay so dearly to shorten your life too.....
