What are your pet peeves?

My biggest one is being lied to or being accused of lying.

It is VERY disturbing to me to understand why someone would present themself as someone they are not.

Yeah, I am talking about this message board.
I know of two persons who have claimed to be someone they are not.
I do not understand the concept of lying.

Truth is one of my must-haves as well.

(I am sad to say that I understand lying, though, from my childhood. For some it can be unbearable for someone to think less of you or that they may not get what they want. A lie can change their thoughts of the moment. Of course, at the time you don't realize that it makes what you really are even less and that it will come back to haunt you.)

My pet peeve is people who .must. have their way and will tromp over you to get it.

I think my next pet peeve is being made a fool of.
Which usually goes in hand with being lied to.
Maybe moreso because its appears I am gullible - and I am not.

I am a very skeptic person while at the same time desiring to see the best in folks.
I realize that is not totally logical.

I have several. One is when people ignore what is right in front of them if it differs from their preconceived notions.

biggest pet peeve... hmm...

would have to be when ppl criticize others actions without understanding why they do it.

i.e.= lying for instance..

i've been guilty of lying.. many many many times. and its hurt ppl more then i could ever imagine, and caused alot of mistrust and loss of friends.. but what ppl fail to understand, is it was never meant as an attack against them. theres almost always an underlying cause to why ppl do the things they do.

lying, cheating, backstabbing, lip smacking, back talking.. etc etc etc.. is just a sympton ... a clue if you will, to whats really going on.

trouble is.. very lil ppl care to get to the bottom of it. they just get peeved..

side note: nothing against you caitybear.. or anyone else for that matter.. i understand ur frustration.. ok, well, i dont completly, but get the drift of it.. i've seen it numerous times... my advice.. is for ya you to humble urself, put ur frustrations aside.. and figure out whomever wronged ya. the reasoning just might floor ya.

i learned along time ago, not to let lil things annoy me. you know how lil brothers are? well, i had the most annoying brother of all times.. he was constantly doing something that got on my last nerve. like.. it took him 45 min to eat a sandwhich.. and if it was peanut butter, he would lick the sides of it.. causing the white bread to get soggy.. it had always made me sick and lose my appetite. one day i asked him why he did some of the stupid things he did.. turns out, he just wanted to be noticed.. wanted attention..

thats usually why ppl do crazy things... they need something.

I have two big pet peeves... being lied to and being talked down to, as in like I don't or couldn't know what you're talking about.

My biggest petty pet peeve... when talking to someone and they 'think' they know what you're saying or going to say and they respond ...yeah, yeah, yeah.. in a manner to either get you to shut up or move on. My runner up petty pet peeve comes from work... a big saying there "Blah, Blah, Blah"... as in they are starting to tell you what to type in a quick letter to someone and they finish with blah, blah, blah... as in you know how to finish it. I've heard it so much even I say it now and it drives me nutzo that I do sometimes.

Ok I'm gonna say this and hope that you guys can get my meaning without insulting or hurting anyone. I'm with caitlin here. I hate being lied to. I try to present myself here on this message board the same way I am if you knew me personally. I've been hurt enough in this world by lies, and honesty is a must. I don't care what you look like, or how much money you have or any of the other things that people think are so important in this life. The thing that matters to me is what is inside. It's real easy for people to lie on the net. We have never really met each other and we take what is posted as the truth. When you find out that it's all been a pack of lies then you get hurt just as you would if it were one of your friends that told you the lie. When you lie you lose your self respect and the respect of others and most importantly the respect of God. Just my 2 cents.

When my brothers or sisters in Christ use lies, ludicrous arguements, or lousy scholarship to try to defend Scripture. The Bible needs no such "help".

my biggest pet peeve is those who aren't loyal. Those that are your friends when everything is going good but as soon as things get a little dicy they run the other direction. That really bugs me!

Well now that everyone knows my major pet peeve some others are:

Toilet seats left up. GRRRRRRRRR

The person who cuts in front of you in traffic when there is no one else behind you, goes up a block and turns off.

People who have a full basket in the grocery store express line.

My biggest pet peeve is people's tendency to redirect blame. And I'm not blaming them for this being a pet peeve of mine... really
