I pray that the gunmen will be brought to justice, but not executed. I pray that the congregation will hold strong to their faith in Christ during this time of trial. I pray that a new pastor will rise from their midst. I pray that their witness remains strong.

Gunmen Kill Minister During Her Sermon

Gunmen burst into a church in the city of Palu, Indonesia, and shot dead a Protestant minister as she delivered her sermon, sparking fears of fresh religious violence, officials said.

Four teenagers in Susianti Tinolele's congregation were wounded, police said. Palu is near the district of Poso, where more than 2,000 people have died in Muslim-Christian clashes since 1999.
