• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Persecution at work

I am being persecuted at work. I don't know if I can take it anymore., I want to leave but there is a voice in me that's saying stay because I work with children and I love them and feel I'm making a big impact on their lives, but the persecution is getting too much. I don't know if I can handle it anymore. I have one more month to go and then my job ends, I need some strength to get through this month strong. What should I do in this case, should I quite or stay, because I feel like the persecution is getting too much.

Throughout the Bible we can read about persecution. It is stated that it is something to be expected. We're not of this world, only in it. In Acts 5 we learn how Peter and John suffered at the hands of the council. They didn't despair though, instead they drew strength from it and became joyful for having been counted worthy of suffering for His name.

When the early christians were persecuted, they gathered and prayed to the Lord for strength, and for his will to happen. I will pray for you. Stay strong and remember, of all the suffering in the world, suffering for Jesus is certainly rewarded.

God bless.

You have been given some good advice by the poster before me. I don't think I could add anything more unless you are being physically harmed. That would be a reason to make a complaint to the police. You could ask yourself, am I being more hurt than the help I am giving the children?

Father, I ask You help with this problem Your child is enduring for your children. Make Your presence know to her in a way she will know what she must do. Give her peace and strength and courage to stand firm as she fights the forces against her. Lord You know the situation she is in. I pray Your will be done. In Jesus name, I pray. amen

I would stay,

In James 1:2 it says be thankful for trials that come your way, God is perfecting you in his love, give thanks!

You are tested to see if you will respond like the world and the Flesh nature (like Satan) or if you will respond like Jesus (like the spirit of God) with Love for your neighbor.
Trust in God, and keep his word close to your heart in all you think and do.

When I complained to my Priest that I was being mistreated by someone his answer was: "That person is good for your soul."

Sometimes when bad things occur it helps us to reach out more to Christ.

(That is where my screen name came from. I have learned the hard way that it is in the thorns of life that Grace is most evident.)

it is good for you if it draws you closer to God....hang in there and lean not on your own understanding, lean on Gods and his strength,he will carry you through.Keep being obedient and trust God. It is in times like these is when God is working on us to be formed /molded into being more like his Son,Jesus Christ.
