Persecuted for being a Christian

I was persecuted for being a Christian through ritual abuse and it was very painful. I feel that persecution against Christians needs to stop and that it is something that needs praying about. It feels bad to be hurt for ones faith. I just wanted to pray for the ceasing of persecution against Christians. Thank you.

Likewise as Jesus says: anyone who follows Him must take up their cross every day and willingly accept the persecution, self-denial, suffering, pain, and self-sacrifice
that always is part of following Jesus.

The difference ? How is this different from other faiths and governments ?
