I know that you can see by all the different people in this world with different personalities, preferences and the way that we each make our own decisions that when God created us in His image, we were created not to be exactly alike. We also know this to be true because of DNA. Each one of us has a different DNA sequence that we inherit from our mother and father, which is a fact.
God does not want any of us to be the same. You have probably seen in your life that not even two Christians are the same.
That is why each of us has a personal relationship with God through our Savior Jesus Christ. He created you, the you that you are and He said 'it is good'. It is very hard for people who do not fit into society's mold of what people should be. Society in general does not like things being different from the norm, but there are so many people who never feel that they fit in for one reason or another. For some it may be how they look (scars, race, body composition ect.) for others it is a way of thinking that is different from society's norm, for others it can be a medical condition or disease that makes them different.
God knows your heart and who you are completely and perfectly. There is no one on this earth who is perfect and we all are hurt by things people say and do. God tells us in His Word that imperfect people (us) do hurt people, whether intentionally or unintentionally. The Word also tells us that our default mode (people) is to think about themselves, their desires and wants. And yes, people can be cruel, heartless and very unkind.
There is a solution though. God. God is holy. Holiness is perfection. God is perfect love, He makes only fair and just choices and He gives fair and just love. That is why we put our hearts in His hands and He tells us that others WILL forsake us. They will throw us under the bus and they will make decisions thinking about themselves. That's why Christ's love is so different. Christ does not need a thing from us. There is no ulterior motive, there is nothing that we can do to loose that love and grace that he has given us.
Don't look to any human being completely because they will let you down. Look to the holy one. Look to the One who loves you perfectly, just as you are, the way He created you.
