Perhaps you and Chriliman could show us how two religionists work out differences of opinion on this subject.
sure, you can find what you say from scripture, you can get it by learning it, but it is different when we get it from the holy Spirit. Not repetative, but always new through insights and revelations.
And you don't know the difference. And that means nothing to you.
I have compassion for you.
I just desire to have God as my reality in life. Thirsting for righteousness sound so, well...self-righteous. And I don't want to be like that. Thanks for asking!
As for you and asking questions, it depends on your motives. If you hunger and thirst for righteousness, you're in the clear. On the other hand, if you are trying to trap the Lord's own with your words...you're toast.
I just desire to have God as my reality in life. Thirsting for righteousness sound so, well...self-righteous. And I don't want to be like that.

Satan has to be the most powerful. Seeing as he has created so many other religions, so much evil and sadness.I don't believe allah is the same as the one true God. I believe allah is a false image of God contrived by satan in order to deceive many of the Truth. Google search "Is allah an image of satan" you'll be surprised by what you find, but of course don't believe everything you read on the internet (including my words, unless they make sense to you), always be diligent and honest when searching for truth.
If god wants us, he is capable of showing us.Interesting...I have a question for you. What if God desires to have you as a part of His reality? Are you going to put your desire to have God in your reality above God's desire to have you in His reality?
Satan has to be the most powerful. Seeing as he has created so many other religions, so much evil and sadness.
You can't claim god is all powerful and attribute satan with so much power. Only 84% claim to have a religion of any kind.
• 2.2 billion Christians (32 percent of the world’s population).
• 1.6 billion Muslims (23 percent).
• 1 billion Hindus (15 percent)
• 500 million Buddhists (7 percent).
• 400 million people (6 percent) practicing various folk or traditional religions, including African traditional religions, Chinese folk religions, American Indian religions and Australian aboriginal religions.
This shows what can be achieved at the end of a sword or rifle. They started small, got picked up and most carried forward by force. The less militarised ones are the smallest.
If god can show he wants us, he is capable of showing us.
Life leaves much to be desired, even empty, and wanting. What is missing, is defined by God himself: we are not perfect. He also guides us to seek him, and to attain his righteousness. That should be the desire of everyone who identifies with him. That is the very thing that shows us not to be self-righteous...because we do not seek our own righteousness, but his. In that pursuit, we are benefactors of "his" righteousness. All other pursuits would be considered some form of self-righteousness.I just desire to have God as my reality in life. Thirsting for righteousness sound so, well...self-righteous. And I don't want to be like that.

Then why doesn't he?
scripture ECC; 12:12I'm glad you get insight and revelation through the Holy Spirit, I feel I do as well, but I always test it against scripture to make sure it is from God, this helps me know I'm not being deceived. I'm at a place in my walk with Christ where I'm learning more and more about God's truth and its been very fulfilling, but also challenging because evil is right there trying to tell me I'm wrong about everything, but of course I know the truth and its this truth that sets me free everyday and allows me to persevere. It seems you're at a different place in your walk and thats great, I'd just appreciate it if you would stop putting me down for wanting to learn the Word of God and put His word to practice.
All the best
Those figures prove otherwise.I agree satan has a lot of power over this earth, but ultimately God has power over all creation and He did and is and will destroy satan. Amen?
No, if god wants me. I'm here waiting for his call.My hope and prayer is that if you directed that question towards God, He may start you on a journey to finding His truth, it might be a struggle, but what is life if not a struggle, trust in Him and He will see you through to the end and set you free from every struggle. I can only take you so close to the truth, eventually its up to you to take the step of faith, hoping God will catch you. And He will, He guarantees it
On a side note, I'd be interested in hearing your testimony about once being a Christian and then turning away. Maybe if you want you can PM me
Why is this inconsistent with what Scott says?I don't believe allah is the same as the one true God. I believe allah is a false image of God contrived by satan in order to deceive many of the Truth.
It still 'makes sense' to refer to 'sunrise' and 'sunset' information in the morning paper. Does the Sun orbit the Earth?Google search "Is allah an image of satan" you'll be surprised by what you find, but of course don't believe everything you read on the internet (including my words, unless they make sense to you),
I do not accept your religious opinion as truth.always be diligent and honest when searching for truth.

I turned away from Christianity when I was told to stop asking questions the priests couldn't answer. Without the usual "How are we to know what god desires" After he spent all his time telling us what god wants, seemed to be ironic.
Why is this inconsistent with what Scott says?
I do not accept your religious opinion as truth.
You are too consumed with learning scripture. "BE STILL AND KNOW GOD".Thats a good reminder to not be consumed by anything that would detract us from God's will. Thanks, God bless!
